The purpose of this project is to inform teachers of the resources avaiable and ways to productively use Edmodo in their classroom. Currently we are searching for ways to share resources with students, grade assignments, and communicate to students/parents. Edmodo manages to provide all of those features all in one easy to use Course Management System. The creation of this training will ensure that teachers throughout the district will be comfortable creating and managing an Edmodo page for this upcoming school year.
Description:
It is a constant challenge to share information between teacher to student, only for the student to return the information back to the teacher after completed the expected task. To remedy this situation, Edmodo is an alternative that teachers can use to solve these problems and more. Not only can you share information, but also provide quizzes, polls, hold a gradebook, communicate with parents, and more. With all of these features, it makes Edmodo a teachers one stop shop. In order to get more teachers to use this free feature, I have created a video to provide the basics of Edmodo along with an in person professional development on how to best use the tools in your classroom.

Conclusion:
Since the elementary schools were not trained and do not use moodle, it is frequently challenging to make sure that teachers can send students necessary information. For Pequea Valley, Edmodo, a once non-supported district LMS will be used this year to facilitate online instruction along with professional development and communication between teachers, parents, and students.
